To all,

Well we think shorting camp by one day has been a great move. Though we had so behavior problems today, no one has got sent home this week due to them!!! Today consisted of rain during breakfast, lightning during morning activities so everything was moved inside, then a hot and humid afternoon.

Tonight was the carnival were kids went around to different stations and played different games. They always enjoy this greatly. Some of the big hits are the dunk tank, water ballon games, and the moonwalk just to name a few.

We thank you for all your thoughts in prayers during the week and can't wait to share our stories of the week Sunday morning!

Hey all,

Well there is not much to report about at all except that camp is going very smoothly and no major problems at all. Will try to get some stories and do a more detailed report in the morning. Also we still need help for camp clean up saturday morning. Please contact the church office.

Day 2

Hey all,

First off glad to hear that the youth made it home from the Mexico trip finally!!! Praise God.

Here at camp we enjoyed a lovely day filled with kids growing more in Jesus's love. Lots of the kids are asking alot of questions about things and are really excited about chapel time. Hopefully by the end of the week we have some excitement about kids becoming part of Jesus's kingdom. Overall the behavior of the kids is great. Couple small health issues with some kids but hopefully in the morning by God's holy hands they will be healed.

There is one cabin of boys camping out tonight in tents by the lake. They were the only brave souls to pick that activity for the week. So all in all the week is going great. Have some great leaders to help us and a great church family praying for us. Thanks for all your prayers and support. Hopefully will have some exciting news coming soon!!!

First Day With Kids

Hey all,

Well the kids got here safe in sound. Have just over 70 campers this year which makes it a really full camp!!! All the kids got settled into there cabin and the boys tried to start swimming but mother nature had other plans. A nice small storm blew thru and they had to get out but the afternoon was not totally ruined. It came and went so by the time the girls time to go swimming came around all was good. During the girls swimming time, a young girl was taking a swim test to make sure she could swim in the deep end but she got some water in her and had to be pulled out by the lifeguard. (her picture is at the side) When she got out, the other girls could see that she was scared and also trying to get the water out of her lungs, so the counselors got the girls together and started praying for her and by the time they were done she was feeling much better!!

Everything else is going great. Weather has not been too hot but also given us some doses of rain. The boys are going to the lake today to swim because the beach is still closed off due to all the spring rain and it being flooded. Please keep us all in your thoughts and prayers and we will keep you updated on the week here.

First Day

We made it down here all right and all dealing with the heat well for now and hopes it rains tonight and tomorrow before the kids get here. We will keep you updated here with all prayer requests and health needs thru the week.
