First Day With Kids

Hey all,

Well the kids got here safe in sound. Have just over 70 campers this year which makes it a really full camp!!! All the kids got settled into there cabin and the boys tried to start swimming but mother nature had other plans. A nice small storm blew thru and they had to get out but the afternoon was not totally ruined. It came and went so by the time the girls time to go swimming came around all was good. During the girls swimming time, a young girl was taking a swim test to make sure she could swim in the deep end but she got some water in her and had to be pulled out by the lifeguard. (her picture is at the side) When she got out, the other girls could see that she was scared and also trying to get the water out of her lungs, so the counselors got the girls together and started praying for her and by the time they were done she was feeling much better!!

Everything else is going great. Weather has not been too hot but also given us some doses of rain. The boys are going to the lake today to swim because the beach is still closed off due to all the spring rain and it being flooded.
